Online tenant payments use Stripe at Stripe's standard processing rates, paid out straight to your bank. StowTally doesn't take a cut of your rent. Extra users are $5/month each; your accountant and read-only logins are always free. Bigger than 1,500 units? Email us.
Questions owners ask
Do I need a credit card for the trial?
No. You get 30 days with everything turned on. Near the end we'll ask you to pick a plan and add a card. If you don't, your account locks until you do, but your tenants can still pay you online in the meantime.
Is there a contract or setup fee?
No contract and no setup fee. Pay monthly, or yearly to save 10%. Cancel any time from Plan & billing.
How do tenants pay?
By card or bank account (ACH) through Stripe, either one-time or on autopay. You connect your own Stripe account and the money goes straight to your bank. Cash and checks are recorded the same way, so every balance is right.
Can I charge tenants the processing fee?
Yes, where it's legal. You can add a flat bank (ACH) fee, and a credit-card surcharge of up to 3% on credit cards only. StowTally won't apply it to debit cards or in states that ban surcharges.
Can I use my own lease?
Yes. Paste your lease into a template and click fields in where the tenant's name, unit, rent, start date and so on go. Add blanks the tenant fills in (like a vehicle plate) and signature lines for you and the tenant.
Is my data safe?
Every login needs a password plus a second step (a passkey or an authenticator app). Each account's data is walled off from every other account at the database level. Gate codes and uploaded documents are encrypted, and we never see or store card or bank numbers; Stripe handles those.
What if I have more than one facility?
Growth covers up to 3 facilities and Pro up to 10, each with its own units, tenants, settings and Stripe account, under one login.
